Thrive By Five A great resource for parents of small children, this site shows you ways to help your preschooler learn money basics. Using games and projects the children get involved in a fun and entertaining way.
360 Degrees of Financial Literacy With financial information ranging from childhood through retirement, and calculators for figuring out debt payoff, savings goals and retirement goals, you will certainly find useful information at this site. There are special sections for women, entrepreneurs, people experiencing a life crisis, newly married couples and much more.
Take Control of Your Money Brought to you by ISU Extension this site not only offers information on saving money, there is an online course called, "Seven Steps to Take Control of Your Money." In this, work at your own pace course, you will learn how to track income and expenses, develop a spending plan, learn debt repayment strategies and building a debt repayment plan, building financial security and investing for the future. When you sign up to complete the online course you will also receive a weekly financial tip from your learning coach, an ISU Extension employee, and you will also be able to email questions to your coach when ever you like.
PowerPay Also from ISU Extension this program helps you to gain control of your debt and reduce the amount you owe through a planned system. You can complete a Power Pay worksheet online or print it and mail it to the Extension service for analysis and they will return it to you with a payment plan.
CreditUnionsRock.com This site runs a full gambit of financial information. You will find information on saving, getting a job, buying a car or house, heading to college, getting married, starting a family, and high school central where young adults can learn how to work smart, how to handle payday, making a budget and the cost of convenience.
ChooseToSave.org This site offers ideas on saving money. Including everything from everyday saving ideas to planning for your retirement there is lots of information to get you on your way to healthy financial living.
MyMoney.gov Brought to you by the US government, you will find information on budgeting, taxes, home ownership, paying for education and much more. There is also a quiz on budgeting and money management you can take to help you learn even more.
