Power Co-op Credit Union is excited to tell you about two amazing young ladies that were crowned their county fair queens this summer. Both were able to participate on the Bill Riley Stage at the Iowa State Fair and represent their counties. Congratulations to these two young ladies and their families
Molly Bormann was crowned 2022 Kossuth County Fair Queen in August. Molly and her parents Patrick and Juliana Bormann live on a farm in rural bode, along with her brother Scott. Molly is a 2022 graduate of Bishop Garrigan High School in Algona, Iowa. Molly is enrolled at Briar Cliff College in Sioux City. She is majoring in nursing and minoring in Emergency Medicine and Gerontology. Molly was the 2021-2022 Algona FFA Vice-President, and President of her 4-H club the Fenton Forwards. During the Iowa State Fair she enjoyed volunteering in the Kids Corner, meeting new people from all around Iowa, participating in workshops and fun activities. She also enjoyed the modeling class and was able to model three different walks and talked to the crowd about herself and her future goals.
Paige German was crowned the 2022 Wright County Fair Queen at the Wright County Fair in July. Paige is a 2022 graduate of Clarion Goldfield Dows High School. Paige and her parents Nick and Stacy German along with her siblings Justin and Brecklyn, live in Clarion, Iowa. Paige is enrolled at University of Northern Iowa majoring in Interactive Digital Studies with an emphasis in Advertising and Computation. She is minoring in Digital Media Leadership.
Paige was involved in: FFA (as CGD FFA Chapter President and Reporter Officer, and 1st person in 25 years from Clarion to be elected as the North Central Iowa FFA District Reporter Officer), National Honor Society (as 1st person ever from Clarion to be awarded as a Semi-Finalist for the NHS national Scholarship), and Student Council (as President). Hobbies: Crocheting, hiking, crafting, listening to rock music, watching horror movies, and staying busy/always being involved ;)
