Re-Elected Board Directors

Dee Dee Wurn — Dee Dee has currently served on the board of directors for the last 15 years she enjoys working with other board members to make a place people want to be a member, and work, as well as watching the credit union grow. She is currently employed as Traffic/Business Manager at KHBT-FM in Humboldt. She has an accounting associate degree from Iowa Central Community College. Dee Dee values the time she spends with her family. Dee Dee’s family includes son Justin Wurn and daughter Tara and Shawn Hermsen, who have 3 children Emmett, Elena, & Evan.

Sarah Dornath — Sarah Dornath has currently served on our board of directors for the last six years. Sarah is employed with Corn Belt Power Co. as an Administrative Assistant for the last 34 years. Sarah’s hobbies include watching college football and basketball, reading, puzzles and walking. She is an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan. Sarah is also a member of Faith Community Church. Sarah would like to run again to serve on our board. She wants to be involved in present and future activities.

Newly Elected Directors

Hannah Himrod — Hannah is a new candidate to run for the board of directors this year. Hannah graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a mi-nor in finance. Hannah is currently employed at T.P. Anderson & Company in Humboldt as a staff accountant. Hannah enjoys spending time with her family and friends, doing crafts, and traveling. Hannah would like to serve on the board as she is just starting off in her career and it would be an excellent opportunity for her to get involved in the community. Hannah feels she can be an asset to the board with her background in accounting.

Michael Carpenter — Michael is also a new candidate for our board of directors. Mike is recently retired from Humboldt County Secondary Roads (shop foreman) after working for 25+ years. The new adventure that will keep him busy is working at AmericInn Humboldt, doing maintenance. Michael and his wife Jacki have one daughter Ashley and Travis Hefty. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, metal detecting, and spending time with his grandkids. Mike volunteers helping out at Rock N Picnic and is a former fireman for bode (8 years). When asked why he is running for the board, his response was that he believes he can bring new and fresh ideas to help improve services, programs, and day to day operations of the credit union.
